Usually the Psycho Bunny sketch of the week gets posted every Monday. This week I decided to wait until Tuesday because Tuesday is July 4th. Which goes well with this week’s sketch:

PsychoBunnyAmericanRevolutionWEB

Psycho Bunny and the American Revolution. Based on the comic written and drawn by Michele Witchipoo, on WitchesBrewPress. July 2017.

So if fireworks aren’t your thing, there’s always this.

More recent news. I was asked to show my artwork in an event July 12th. Details coming up in another post.

As usual, don’t forget to check out the usual links: Psycho Bunny Comix and Michele Witchipoo – WitchesBrewPress on Facebook. On Twitter there’s Mr. Psycho Bunny and my own account. If you have Instagram, there’s WitchipooArt. Don’t forget Tumblr and DeviantArt. Unless you’re stalking me, then you’re not welcome. Enjoy your 4th. Whatever you do, don’t get stupid with the fireworks, don’t annoy pet owners, and don’t blow your fingers off. Thank you.

Lately been nostalgic for anything early New Wave and Post Punk. I’ve always been a firm believer in moving forward, but when it comes to my musical tastes, that’s a different story. No matter how many times I check out current music, in the end I always go back to anything between the years 1965 to 2007. Particularly anything underground from the ’80s.

A few weeks ago I was checking out episodes of the Los Angles based program New Wave Theater, which now can be seen on the streaming channel Night Flight. (Night Flight was also a late night program on the USA Network during the ’80s). So this probably was probably the basis of the latest Psycho Bunny sketch for Monday, June 26th, 2017.

Although Memorial Day 2017 was last week, here’s a Psycho Bunny sketch of the week.

This sketch is different that the others that were posted. Not meant to be funny. Which is why you don’t see the normally alcoholic bunny holding his usual cheap booze. The sketch is about those who sacrificed their lives for the United States.  Now I’m not particularly the most patriotic person in the world. If anything, extreme nationalism irks me. However, there’s something to be said for those who believed enough in any cause to sacrifice themselves for others. This also goes out to those who had no choice but to be drafted.

Over Memorial Day weekend, there were plenty of barbecues, but nary a mention about why this American holiday exists. Memorial Day is more than just a three day weekend.

Introducing the (belated) Psycho Bunny sketch of the week.

PsychoBunnyMemorialDay2017704

The Psycho Bunny sketch of the week. Memorial Day 2017 edition. Based on the comic written and drawn by Michele Witchipoo on her own imprint, WitchesBrewPress. May 2017.

Besides this, things have been quiet lately. Transitions take a lot of your time it seems. Meanwhile, don’t forget to check out the two Facebook pages, Psycho Bunny Comix, and Michele Witchipoo – WitchesBrewPress.  There’s also Instagram under WitchipooArt. Stay tuned for more updates.

Psycho Bunny is perpetually unemployed.

In fact, he’s the founder, president and CEO of The Unemployment Appreciation Society. It doesn’t mean he doesn’t know an opportunity when he sees one.

Here he tries to apply for a position that’s been recently vacated. It’s a government job. Perhaps someone named Mulder can help…

Introducing the Psycho Bunny sketch of the week for Monday, May 22nd, 2017.

PBandMulder702

Psycho Bunny hears of an opening for FBI director, and asks Mulder for assistance. Based on the comic written and drawn by Michele Witchipoo, on WitchesBrewPress. May 2017.

Next month I’ll be at the Artist and Craftsman Zine Fair in L.I.C., NYC. Been keeping a low profile this year, but if you get the chance, come on out. Now here comes the promotional plugs. Don’t forget to click “like” on the two Facebook pages Psycho Bunny Comix and Michele Witchipoo – WitchesBrewPress. On Instagram there’s WitchipooArt. Website still needs updating. Haven’t gotten around to fixing as of yet. In the meantime look out for a new sketch every week.

Psycho Bunny comes from a dysfunctional family. Surprise, surprise. His mother was introduced very early on, in the beginning issues. Below is a sketch dated 2006:

psycho_bunny_visiting_mom____by_michelewitchipoo

Early Psycho Bunny illustration. Hanging out with his mother in her kitchen. Drawn 2006 by Michele Witchipoo.

Now here’s a quick updated version. Just in time for Mother’s Day, 2017.

PBMothersDay2017

Psycho Bunny and his mother. Based on the comic written and drawn by Michele Witchipoo on WitchesBrewPress. May 2017.

My own mother took slight offense of Psycho Bunny’s mom. She thought his mother was based on her. While I assured she wasn’t, don’t think she quite believed me. My mother passed away in September 2015.

Time for the usual promotional pep talk. Check out the Facebook pages for Psycho Bunny and for WitchesBrewPress. While you’re at it, don’t forget to check out Twitter and Instagram as well. Haven’t had time to fix the website, but one of these days the store should be updated. You can still order comics from the website in the meantime. Besides comics there’s my RedBubble shop. Lately it’s been getting a bit of traffic, but it could use some more. So check it out. Anything else? DeviantArt…that’s about it for now. Till next time.
