The opening party at MF Gallery went so well, there’s going to be a closing party on August 30th. There will a screening of the classic cult film. Cosplay of all your favorite Rocky Horror Picture Show characters is encouraged. Of course there’s the art. It’s a group art show, in tribute to the Rocky Horror Picture Show itself. So if you missed it the first time around, here’s your second chance!

I’m one of the artists exhibiting a painting in this fine exhibit. All art is available for purchase, including mine. (hint-hint!) There’s even RHPS tattoos available.

A few weeks ago, I checked out the Jean-Michel Basquiat exhibit over at The Brant Foundation. Admission was complimentary, but access was already booked up. Luckily I was able to score a ticket.

I’m supposed to post a more detailed review on another blog. In the meantime, here’s a look. The show itself covers a variety of his work. For those who don’t know, the artist dated a pre-fame Madonna.

Basquiat joined the 27 club in 1988.

Right after Commander Cheetos got elected, there were immediate calls of action. Especially in the art field.

One of them was Knockdown Center who had an open call for their upcoming Nasty Women exhibition. Proud to say my illustration was accepted into the show taking place Jan. 12 – 15, 2017. The opening reception will be on Thursday Jan. 12th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm.

Proceeds from all sales will benefit Planned Parenthood. To find out more about Nasty Women, click here.

My print of the illustration #trumpsucksballs will be part of the display. Basically I took a combination of a lewd joke and a popular Instagram hashtag which resulted in this:

Since the result of the presidential election, I’ve decided to get more involved in women’s and LBGQT issues.

I’ve also put this image as a greeting card. So if you would like to order one for yourself, It’s $4.00 ($3.00 + $1.00 for S&H). Comes in cellophane with an orange envelope. You can send payment to PsychoBunnycomix@aol.com. Just be sure and specify “Trump card” when ordering. The card is blank inside so you can mail your own personalized message to the White House. Again, this card will not be available at all future events due to the nature of this work.

The Made In Ridgewood exhibit has done so well, the showing has been extended through Oct. 24th, instead of Oct. 15th. So if you’re in the area, check out OUTPOST Artist Resources. I have a new piece in this group art show. The exhibit was originally put together by OUTPOST and Ridgewood Artists Coalition for Bushwick Open Studios 2016.

My work was part of this group art show, debuting this new piece. There were various mediums and styles ranging from painting, sculpture, video, photography and interactive. Of course it helped that open bar was courtesy of Finback brewery, another local Ridgewood establishment. It should be noted that Finback makes some very good beers. So if craft beers are your thing, definitely check it out.

Just a reminder that I’ll be at Catland Books for the Crimson Hand Comic Arts Festival. Various artists will have tables at this outdoor event. Gotta love that NYC summer heat. Anyway, something for everyone. See you tomorrow!
