UPDATE!

It’s been a while. I’ve been busy with assorted offline activities.

Good news, I have brand new work to upload. In the next few days, most likely the weekend, I’ll post some new comic/sequential content. Late December I’ll begin updating on this blog again.

In the meantime, I’d like to thank everyone who contributed to my Patreon, brought from my re-opened Etsy shop, purchased from RedBubble, and supported my webcomic. I don’t promote my Patreon or my other channels as much as I should. Thanks to offline responsibilities, I had to put my WEBTOON series on the side. In a week I’m going to pick up where I left off.

Other news. Was pleasantly surprised by a positive review of my last printed comic, The Temptation of Squeaky, which I published last year.

Two of my illustrations were published in a local zine, simply titled Ridgewood Zine. Available locally. Details in another blog post.

As for my radio show, I made the decision to put it on hold until further notice. Basically I wanted to get back to my own artwork. Simple as that.

Until then, Happy Holidays, Hanukkah, Festivus, Krampusnacht, and all that good stuff.

Post NYCC 2019 – Psycho Bunny Sketch of The Week.

This past weekend was New York Comic Con 2019. I’ve been attending each one since it’s inception back in Every year a certain type of magic sparks whenever NYCC happens. My only regret was I had to miss Ridgewood Open Studios, which opened on the same weekend. In which I had a painting on display at a group art show, over at Lorimoto Gallery.

To my surprise, there wasn’t as much Deadpool cosplay mashups as previous years. There was still a few.

Which leads to the return of the Psycho Bunny sketch of the week. Drawn by yours truly.

Psycho Bunny Sketch of The Week & Inktober 2019

Okay, so it’s been over a month since posting a Psycho Bunny Sketch of The Week. Life has been really busy. Plus I started a brand new radio show, which I interview comic book pros, like artists, writers, podcasters, and other pros. Details forthcoming in another post.

In the meantime, October is here, which means it’s also Inktober. So combining the two, here’s my Psycho Bunny and Inktober 2019 sketch # 1, with the Inktober prompt of Ring.

Rockabilly Boogie – Psycho Bunny Sketch of The Week For 7/30/2019

A few weeks back, I caught a free show at Irving Plaza. The headliner was neo-Rockabily singer Robert Gordon. Originally part of the early NYC Punk movement, around the late ’70s he embraced his influences, turning to Rockabilly. Having worked with musicians such as Link Wray and Chris Spedding, his vocals took everyone back to a time when Elvis was actually cool. He was ahead of such retro rockers such as The Stray Cats (which as of this blog posting, is currently on a reunion tour.) While The Cramps pushed the envelope with it’s sinister psychobilly overtones, Robert Gordon stayed true to his roots.

In the past I’ve attending a few Rockabilly events, but not often enough. It was scattered throughout the years, such as attending shows in San Francisco, Connecticut, and recently a few years back at NYC’s Otto Shrunken Head.

If you’re curious about what Gordon sounds like these days, check out the footage from his gig at Irving Plaza, July 1st, 2019. Below is the song that he opened with, “Someday, Someway.” It was later covered by Marshall Crenshaw.

Walking On The Moon – Psycho Bunny Sketch of The Week 7/21/2019

This past weekend in NYC was an oppressive, blistering heatwave. It impacted the majority of the East Coast to the Midwest of the U.S. If you were local, and wasn’t impacted by any blackout, you were lucky. Either way we all sweated our asses off. Global warming baby – embrace nature at it’s worse!

But you know…as I’m typing this blog post, with perspiration dripping down my face, the last thing I want to do is talk about this heatwave. It’ll only make me hotter. I’m sure you feel the same way too. Therefore let’s focus on something else; Apollo 11. The 50th anniversary of the U.S. moon landing.

Which leads us to the Psycho Bunny sketch of the week for July 21st, 2019. Posting this sketch early. This week will be a little tad on the busy side.

Squeaky Vs. Fireworks

Not everyone cares for fireworks. Family pets like cats, dogs and other animals get easily frightened by loud commotions. Squeaky Squeakums decided to do something about it. She enlisted the help of her demon buddy, Magnus Maximus to put a stop to those pesky fireworks during the Fourth of July.

Summer’s Here – Psycho Bunny Sketch of The Week 6/28/2019

Can you feel the heat? I meant literally. Over here in NYC, it’s felt. It’s that time of year where you take some extra time shopping in the supermarket – and only because they have that maximum central air going.

Psycho Bunny himself isn’t too thrilled. Not at the moment anyway.

Introducing the Psycho Bunny sketch of the week for June 28th, 2019.

PBBeachBallJune2019WEB
Summer’s here! Psycho Bunny sketch of the week based on the comic book written and drawn by Michele Witchipoo. On WitchesBrewPress. June 2019.

Although I did promise an upcoming Psycho Bunny issue…allow me to be candid. I’m slowly starting to move away from Psycho Bunny, and more into doing more comics about Squeaky with her demon friend. Right now, that’s where my focus is at. Then again, anything could change. Not going to give up on Psycho Bunny altogether. Just want to work on my Squeaky comic more. We’ll see. As it is said; nothing is true, everything is permitted.
